These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Questix and any other products or services provided by CloudCastle ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using our services, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use our services.

2. Description of Service

Questix is a web-based application for tabletop role-playing game campaign management. Our services allow users to create, organize, and share campaign content including but not limited to characters, quests, locations, notes, and interactive maps.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information up to date.

You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Content

You retain all ownership rights to the content you create, upload, or share through our services ("User Content"). By using our services, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your User Content solely as necessary to provide and improve our services.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all rights necessary to grant us this license. We do not claim ownership of your User Content.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use our services for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable laws
  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
  • Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services
  • Use automated means to access our services without our prior written consent
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of our services
  • Create accounts through unauthorized means, including bots or automated scripts

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of our services may require a paid subscription or Patreon membership. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) as selected at the time of purchase. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will not apply to the current billing period.

7. Third-Party Integrations

Our services may integrate with third-party platforms such as Patreon and Discord. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third party's terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

8. Intellectual Property

Our services, including all software, design, text, graphics, logos, and other content created by CloudCastle, are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our proprietary content without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimers

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for any loss of data, though we take reasonable measures to prevent data loss.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CloudCastle shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) our services
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on our services
  • Any content obtained from our services
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to our services at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use our services ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
